Description

Scabiosa columbaria 'Blue Note' is a dwarf plant that forms compact mounds of gray-green foliage topped by lots of lavender blue, pincushion like blooms on stiff stems from spring to autumn. Scabiosa 'Blue Note' is a good front of the border perennial and is also nice in containers. Deadhead regularly to promote blooms all season. The foliage is typically evergreen in warmer zones.

Scabiosa columbaria 'Blue Note' is best in full sun and average to moist, well-drained soil. It dislikes winter wet. It is tolerant of coastal conditions and drought. Some afternoon shade is appreciated in the warmest zones.
