Tricyrtis hirta 'Moonlight' Toadlily



Tricyrtis hirta 'Moonlight' is an upright perennial with stems of hairy, golden-chartreuse leaves with creamy edges. Tricyrtis hirta 'Moonlight' has upward facing, orchid-like white blooms with purple freckles that occur in the leaf axils all along the arching stems, usually in early fall. An uncommon plant, Tricyrtis hirta, also known as Toadlily, is an exceptional plant for the woodland garden or shady pathway edge.

Tricyrtis hirta 'Moonlight' prefers partial to full, even dense, shade, and medium to wet, humus-rich, well drained soils. Although it is drought tolerant, for best appearance do not allow soil to dry out.
