Sedum floriferum 'Weihenstephaner Gold' has tight green rosettes of scalloped, rounded succulent leaves. Its evergreen foliage forms an attractive low mound that gradually spreads to create a lush ground cover. It continues to put out new growth throughout the season to maintain its density. Sedum 'Weihenstephaner Gold' produces showy clusters of orange buds and yellow flowers in late spring or early summer. In winter, the foliage takes on a rich deep red color. This perennial is well adapted for use in rock gardens, in containers, as a ground cover, or in borders.
Like other Stonecrop, Sedum floriferum 'Weihenstephaner Gold' is easy to grow in full sun and well-drained, average to dry soil. It is drought tolerant and withstands coastal conditions.
