Sedum makinoi 'Ogon' has small, bright, greenish yellow, succulent leaves that form cute, very low rosettes. This heat tolerant perennial gradually expands to make a dense ground cover. It will also spill and trail nicely in containers or over stones. Sedum 'Ogon' produces small yellow-green, star-like flowers in summer. Commonly known as Stonecrop, 'Ogon' is also sometimes call Japanese Golden Sedum.
Sedum makinoi 'Ogon' prefers light or partial shade to sun and average to dry, well-drained soil. It is best in partial shade, where it will have its prettiest color. It is usually deciduous but it can be semi-evergreen in warmer zones.
