Mentha pulegium 'Nana' is an evergreen creeping perennial with tiny leaves that emit a strong aroma of mint when brushed or stepped on. Also known as Dwarf Pennyroyal, it makes a dense, weed-resistant mat of bright green. Mentha 'Nana' produces light lavender flowers on 4" stems in summer. It is an indefinite spreader.
Mentha pulegium 'Nana' is happy in sun to partial shade and moist, well-drained soil, but will also tolerate wet sites, as well as drought. Dwarf Pennyroyal tolerates moderate to heavy foot traffic making it a nice ground cover. Space on 12" centers.
