Brass Buttons, Leptinella squalida, is a gray-green creeper with little green leaves that resemble fern fronds. A dense mat-forming perennial, Leptinella squalida turns bronze in autumn. Sometimes called New Zealand Brass Buttons, its tiny yellow button blooms often go unnoticed. Plants will spread indefinitely via underground runners if not constrained.
Leptinella squalida prefers partial shade to shade and well draining soil. It will tolerate moderate foot traffic. Space on 8" centers.
