Description

Iris cristata 'Tennessee White' is a selection from Tennessee that is a longer-blooming than the species. Its white blooms, accented by yellow crests, are held above fans of green lanceolate foliage. Crested Iris 'Tennessee White' is a vigorous spreader that makes a nice ground cover for shady areas.

Iris cristata is native to the southeastern U.S. from Illinois to Oklahoma eastward to Georgia through Pennsylvania.

Iris cristata 'Tennessee White' prefers light or partial shade and moist, well-drained soil. It will tolerate dry shade once established.
