Hosta 'Fragrant Blue' has chalky, powder blue elongated leaves that are slightly cupped. 'Fragrant Blue' has good substance and retains its color well into summer. This small to medium-size Plantain Lily has lovely pale lavender, lightly fragrant blooms on 22" stems in August.

Hosta 'Fragrant Blue' prefers partial to full shade and moist, humus-rich, well-drained soil. Hosta will grow in ordinary garden soil and withstand drought, but they are most beautiful when provided consistent moisture. They will tolerate clay soil and can be grown under black walnut trees.

Plantain Lily are classic perennial shade garden plants that will also grow well in containers.
