Helleborus x 'Dark and Handsome' Lenten Rose



Helleborus x 'Dark and Handsome' Lenten Rose has double, black to deep purple, 2-2.5" blooms with chartreuse to yellow stamens. 'Dark and Handsome' flowers in late winter to early spring, making it a prized perennial plant. Lenten rose have leathery, deep green, evergreen foliage making them excellent ground cover plants. Helleborus 'Dark and Handsome is part of the Wedding Party® Series.

Helleborus prefer light to partial shade and moist, well-drained, humus-rich soil. They are particularly good in deciduous shade. Helleborus can take a half day of morning sun if given adequate moisture. Helleborus are deer resistant, rabbit resistant, and drought tolerant.
