Galium odoratum, or Sweet Woodruff, is a mat-forming perennial whose dainty whorls of lance-shaped, rich green foliage are covered with fragrant white flowers in spring. The aromatic foliage may be dried for a super fragrant addition to sachets. Galium odoratum spreads via underground runners and by seeds and may naturalize, but it may be a bit aggressive in optimum growing situations. Galium odoratum makes an attractive, deciduous ground cover and is nice over bulbs.
Galium odoratum prefers partial to full shade and moist to wet, loamy soil
