Euthamia caroliniana, or Slender Goldentop, has upright stems of narrow leaves topped by clusters of fragrant, fluffy yellow blooms summer through fall. Euthamia caroliniana spreads via underground roots to form attractive clumps.
Native to the East and Gulf coasts, Slender Goldentop resembles goldenrod and is attractive to butterflies, native bees and songbirds. Uncommon in home landscapes, it deserves more use, particularly in pollinator gardens.
