Clematis virginiana, also known as Virgin's Bower or Woodbine, is a perennial twining vine with 3-5 part leaves and clouds of fragrant white blooms in late summer/early fall. Clematis virginiana is vigorous, deciduous, and has a rampant growth habit that needs strong support for best appearance.

Native from the Central Plains eastward over much of N. America, Clematis virginiana is happy in sun or part shade and moist to wet soil. It is drought tolerant once established.
