Allium 'Millenium,' otherwise known as Ornamental Onion, sports 2" globes of purply-pink blooms that flower in mid to late summer over clumps of deep green, flattened grass-like leaves. Unlike many other Alliums, this one is a true clump former with sterile seed so it does not spread about the landscape. Perennial Plant of the year in 2018. The foliage on this bulbous plant is long, narrow and flat arising from the soil line. This Ornamental Onion prefers full sun & well drained, moist to dry soil. Allium 'Millenium' is also well-adapted to sandy soils. Great as a cut flower.
