Allium x 'Medusa' has narrow, twisty tall grass-like leaves that set off tall round stems of light purple, 1 3/4"-2" spherical clusters of flowers in late summer. The snaky foliage produces a typical onion scent when cut or bruised. As with the other Allium, 'Medusa' is a magnet for butterflies and honeybees.
Allium x 'Medusa' prefers full sun to light shade and well-drained soil. This is a drought tolerant, deer resistant, easy to grow, bulbous perennial.
