Calylophus 'Prairie Lode' produces orange buds that open to sulfur-yellow flowers from April to November. Commonly known as Sundrops, this Rare Roots' favorite has wiry stems and small green leaves that stay close to the ground. Calylophus 'Prairie Lode' is native to much of central Canada and the U.S. This perennial makes a great ground cover with its wide reach, but runners do not root down. Prune the runners back hard in the spring to maintain good form.
