Description

Phlox subulata 'Snowflake' produces brilliant white flowers over low growing foliage that is denser than other varieties. The evergreen, rapidly spreading, needle-like foliage is lighter green than other creeping phlox. 'Snowflake' is lovely with spring bulbs or makes an excellent ground cover for sunny, dry sites.

A perennial, also known as Creeping Phlox or Moss Pinks, Phlox subulata is native to the eastern half of North America, where it is typically found on sandy or rocky places, savannas, rocky ledges or slopes, and clearings.

Phlox subulata 'Snowflake' prefers full sun and average to dry, well-drained soil. It is excellent for sandy or gravelly soils and tolerates hot dry conditions better than other types of Phlox. It is also suitable for coastal conditions. Plants may be sheared back after blooming to encourage fresh foliage.

We ship via UPS & USPS (the Post Office), and their ship rates are automatically generated through our site. We do not profit on shipping costs. We are working with these providers to get our customers the best rates possible.

All ship times are subject to change if extreme weather conditions are present here at the nursery or at the shipping destination.

Please note: Depending on the time of year, the foliage of the plants may be trimmed to fit into our shipping boxes. This could delay the flowering of the plant, but many perennials actually benefit from being cut back.

We are currently not able to ship to Puerto Rico, Hawaii, and outside of the US.
