Acorus calamus 'Variegatus' Sweet Flag



Acorus calamus 'Variegatus' is a moisture lover with bright, wide variegated grass-like foliage that makes a bold impact in the border or water garden. Also known as Sweet Flag, this perennial plant forms mats of stiff, narrow bladed leaves with creamy white edges. Acorus calamus 'Variegatus' is deciduous, deer resistant and will naturalize in bogs or at water's edge. Tolerates up to 5" standing water.

Acorus calamus 'Variegatus' prefers full sun and moist to wet soil. It will also grow with average moisture but do not allow to dry out. Can tolerate clay soil.
