Description

Physostegia virginiana ‘Variegata’, "Obedient Plant" is a clumping perennial featuring showy pink to violet flowers highlighted by thin variegated foliage with light green leaves accented with creamy-white center and light pink edges.

Physostegia ‘Variegata’ grows best in full sun to partial shade with average moisture but is adaptable to clay or alkaline soils and will spread slowly from where it is planted. A deciduous North American native, Physostegia ‘Variegata’ is attractive to butterflies and bees while being resistant to deer. This striking and well-behaved plant grows in a wide range of environments, whether planted in containers or border gardens.
