Selaginella uncinata, know as Rainbow or Peacock Moss forms a semi-evergreen, spreading mat of teal green to metallic blue, almost iridescent, foliage. Selaginella uncinata Rainbow/Peacock Moss has its best color in full shade and on new growth in spring. Fronds that come in contact with moist soil root easily.

Selaginella uncinata prefers mostly shade to full shade and moist, humus-rich soil. Its color will not be as intense in brighter light.
