Boltonia 'Snowbank' has masses of white, fine-petaled, daisy-like blooms in late summer to early fall. This tall, generally upright perennial plant is great for the back of a border. Commonly referred to as False Aster, this perennial readily self-sows and is native to the central plains eastward. Boltonia tolerates heat, humidity, and drought, but can also handle clay soils and moist conditions. It may be cut back to 1/3 of its size early in the season to keep it shorter. Remove spent blooms on this plant to reduce self-sowing.
