Aralia cordata 'Sun King' has tropical-looking, bright golden green compound leaves with reddish-brown stems that stay chartreuse to yellow all summer depending on the amount of sun. Commonly referred to as Japanese Spikenard, this Aralia's tiny white flowers are followed by inedible, purple-black fruit. Its best color is achieved with at least a couple hours of morning sun. This perennial is likely to mature to a larger size over time.
