Lavender x intermedia 'Sensational' produces dense spikes of fragrant, purple flowers over silvery foliage in mid summer. Its strong stems make it exceptional as a cut flower. The plants are compact and have excellent cold tolerance. 'Sensational' also tolerates humidity well. Lavender is a favorite of bees and will attract other pollinators.
Lavender x intermedia 'Sensational' prefers full sun and requires very well-drained soil. Perennial lavender is drought tolerant once established and is well-suited to drier, alkaline soils. Cut back after flowering to encourage fresh growth.
