Hardy Hibiscus moscheutos 'Holy Grail' has huge, brilliant red blooms set against very dark, almost black foliage. The bright green calyxes of spent blooms look like little stars against the dark leaves. Hibiscus 'Holy Grail" gets 48"-54" tall with a 60" spread and flowers midsummer to early fall.
'Holy Grail' is an exotic looking cultivar of Hibiscus moscheutos, a hardy perennial that is native to the southern and eastern United States and parts of Canada. It is indigenous to low wet areas such as ditches, swamps, marshes, and river and pond edges, hence the common name Swamp Mallow.
Hibiscus moscheutos 'Holy Grail' prefers sun to light shade and moist to wet soil that has some drainage. For best appearance do not allow it to dry out.
