Glechoma hederacea 'Variegata' produces scalloped, heart-shaped, variegated leaves that are marbled with white on trailing stems. Also called Ground Ivy or Creeping Charlie, Glechoma hederacea has small lavender blooms in late spring to early summer. Glechoma 'Variegata' is a quick-covering evergreen ground cover for shade, but it tends to be invasive. Use with caution in contained spaces.
Glechoma hederacea 'Variegata' prefers partial shade and is happy in moist or dry soils. Drought tolerance makes it useful under trees where soil is dry. This plant will not attach to trees. Remove green reversions immediately. Creeping Charlie tolerates light foot traffic. Space on 12" centers.
