Artemisia ludoviciana 'Valerie Finnis', grown for its attractive silver-gray foliage, has 4” long, narrow leaves with lobed tips.

Commonly called Wormwood, Artemisia 'Valerie Finnis' is a cultivar of western U.S. native Artemisia ludoviciana. It is a rhizomatous spreader, but more restrained than the species.

Artemisia ludoviciana is best grown in full sun and well-drained soil. Artemisia 'Valerie Finnis' is deer resistant and tolerant of coastal conditions and drought. Deciduous.

Zones 6-2: Starting Aug. 26th
Zones 7&8: Starting Sept. 9th

If you'd like to receive your order on a different week, you can leave a note for us on the Cart page before you reach checkout, or respond to the order confirmation email after you place the order.

We only ship on Mondays and Tuesdays so the plants can travel safely during the weekdays.

All ship times are subject to change if extreme weather conditions are present here at the nursery or at the shipping destination.

Please note: Depending on the time of year, the foliage of the plants may be trimmed to fit into our shipping boxes. This could delay the flowering of the plant, but many perennials actually benefit from being cut back.
