Convallaria majalis has very fragrant, white 1/4" bell-shaped flowers that dangle along its slender stems. Convallaria majalis, also known as Lily of the Valley has broad, spathe-shaped, deep green leaves that arise from the ground. This charming perennial flower is an excellent ground cover for shady areas.
A vigorous, rhizomatous spreader, Lily of the Valley prefers part shade and humus-rich soil with consistent moisture. Tolerates most soil types. Convallaria majalis is excellent as a cut flower.
