Helleborus orientalis 'First Dance' produces double, 2-2.5" blooms that range from butter yellow to ivory with maroon picoteed edges and green centers. Also known as Lenten Rose, plants generally bloom from late winter into early spring. 'First Dance' is part of the Wedding Party® Series. With attractive evergreen foliage, this perennial makes a great ground cover in shady areas and it is also suitable for containers..

Helleborus orientalis 'First Dance' prefers light shade to shade and humus-rich, well-drained soil. It is drought tolerant once established. Cut back old leaves that look shabby in winter before the buds arise.
