Aquilegia 'Pink Lanterns' is a compact selection of our eastern native columbine with dainty pink blooms. Aquilegia 'Pink Lanterns' forms mounds of lacy blue-green leaves that are topped with fine stems of dangling, starry pink flowers from mid-spring to early summer. For best results, grow Aquilegia canadensis 'Pink Lanterns' in full sun to light shade and moist, well-drained soil. It will also tolerate dry soil and drought. If the foliage gets unsightly, trim this garden perennial back hard and it will flush with fresh, new growth. This is one of our favorites for its airy bloom stems and long flowering season.
