Agapanthus africanus 'Back in Black' has loose clusters of deep purple-blue flowers on tall black stems that reach high above the foliage. Sometimes called African Lily or Lily of the Nile, these bulbous perennial plants have long, narrow strap-shaped leaves and globe-shaped clusters of tubular flowers that are borne on single stems arising from the soil. Agapanthus 'Back in Black' blooms in late summer to early fall.
